How listings work

Effective October 17, 2026

Firms pay a fixed monthly advertising fee for profiles and placement in agreed locations. Sponsored placement is labeled Sponsored. Payment does not buy a recommendation, endorsement, matching decision, or editorial ranking. Visitors choose whom to contact directly; Wills.com does not analyze a legal problem to select a lawyer.

Credential review process

Before a paid profile goes live, the review process requires checking each named attorney’s license and eligibility in the official jurisdictional bar directory, confirming office and contact details against firm sources, and recording the source URLs, review date, and reviewer. The operating schedule calls for a recheck every 90 days and after a reported change; disputed or ineligible profiles are withheld or paused. This is the launch procedure, not a claim that existing sample profiles have been verified. Readers should independently confirm current bar status.

Advertising requirements

Participating firms are responsible for reviewing their jurisdiction’s advertising obligations and approving their materials. State-specific requirements may affect availability, disclosures, or publication timing. Florida participation requires review of applicable qualifying-provider and directory requirements before activation. Wills.com does not represent that participation is approved by any bar association.
